The school has its own dedicated baseball field, the largest in the prefecture, which is the same size as Koshien Stadium, and aims to "improve human abilities," fostering independence and good manners with teammates. In order to achieve their goal of competing in Koshien, the school works hard every day to train their skills and mental strength.

We aim to foster team and individual growth through more practical experience. We hold many friendly matches not only with strong schools around the country, but also with Nadeshiko League teams and strong universities. Many of our school's graduates are active in the Nadeshiko League.

The Yanagigaura High School Judo Club began by strengthening their mental strength, and as a result, in recent years they have achieved outstanding results by competing in top competitions such as the Inter-High School Championships and the Kyushu Championships.

Never satisfied with the status quo, we always seek the truth, or what should be, and we work hard at school life and club activities, striving to "always aim to be the best in Japan, and to be the best team in terms of etiquette and manners," and we train hard every day.

Kendo is a path to character development through the training of the principles of the sword. With this philosophy of kendo in mind, the Yanagigaura High School Kendo Club aims to cultivate the ability to survive in society by respecting each other's personalities, trusting their teammates, and working hard together while valuing courtesy and studying kendo correctly and seriously.
Athletics part 
2021 Oita Prefectural High School Ekiden (Boys) 2nd Place 
Through athletics, we aim to develop students into role models for others. We aim to nurture students who have big dreams and high goals, who work hard with sincerity, and who want to further improve their own abilities. In recent years, we have seen some success in individual competitions, and we are aiming to reach a high level in both individual and team competitions.
Golf Club

Participate in the 2021 and 2024 Japan Women's Open Golf Championships 
Our school's golf club was one of the first to join the Kyushu High School Golf Federation when it was first established, and has been active with the goal of competing in national tournaments such as the National High School Golf Championship and the Japan Junior Golf Championship, with some even aiming to become professional golfers. At the time, it was one of the oldest golf clubs in Kyushu. We have decided to relaunch the club in 2020, the year of the Olympic and Paralympic Games. We hope to welcome junior golfers from Oita Prefecture and across the country who love golf, and to nurture talented individuals who will take flight into the world. We welcome like-minded junior golfers. Come and spend your precious youthful years here at Yanagigaura High School.
