2026-01-13
The final of the 34th All-Japan High School Girls' Football Championship was held on Sunday, January 11th at the Kobe Universiade Memorial Stadium. The team defeated Kamimura Gakuen High School, representing Kagoshima Prefecture, 1-0, to become the first team in the club's history to win the championship, as well as the first team from Oita Prefecture to do so.
From the beginning of the match, they kept the initiative with their characteristic forward defense, and in the 43rd minute of the first half, Murakami Rinka headed in a corner kick from the right to take the lead. In the second half, they continued to be pushed back, but the players worked together and put their bodies on the line to defend, and they were able to win.
Approximately 300 supporters, including parents, alumni, and students, took to the stands, and a public viewing was also held at Usa City Hall, attended by approximately 150 people. The game was also broadcast on television and online, and we would like to express our deepest gratitude to the many people who came to support us.
We will not be satisfied with this result and will work towards our goal of winning the championship for the second consecutive year with our new team.
